What Does Mike Say?
A little about myself
Although I am a republican I have stronger ties to the hard working "blue collar" Kentuckians than either of my opponents. I have worked in both the United Mine Workers- River Queen Strip Mine Greenville KY for 12 years and the Oil and Atomic Workers Union @ USEC for 6 years. I am presently on permit with the International Union of Operating Engineers. (I am a crane operator as well). The issues I am fighting to correct impact every family in Kentucky and cross and supersede all political ties and affiliations.
Getting to Know Me
I am 53 years old and the father of two great children, Matthew age 30 and Cayce age 25. I am also an avid ballroom dancer and promote this sport whenever possible. We have several great dance studios locally. I am an animal lover with 5 dogs and 2 cats that although are not the same as children, they are furry little members of my family. I ride motorcycles and am a boater. My interests are many and varied which makes it easy for me to connect with just about anyone at some level. There is no way to truly understand another's concerns and issues if you haven't walked a mile in their shoes. I have been politically active for seven years working Fancy Farm, marching in the Paducah Labor Day Parade, attending political leadership conferences, television and radio interviews etc. promoting my groups, charities., and causes. I am a member of the American Family Association, VP of the West Kentucky Right to Life www.WKRTL.org, board member of the TCCC www.TCCC.us - working to send US products to China, president of www.KYFATHERS.org, founder www.childrenofourbrokencourts.org, member of the New Chinese Bible Project, as well as several other charities not listed here. I am Catholic and attend church every Sunday.

Our kids are bombarded with ads for drugs on TV, radio, and every corner...
Business:
I have business ties nationwide and continually promote our region as a central hub for commerce...
Health Care:
We need guaranteed minimum basic health coverage for everyone in this great nation. But the Obama plan starts with tax payer sponsored abortion and ends with government regulated euthanasia all at tremendous cost to the small business community...
Media is Failing:
Our news media: television, radio, and print, is failing our great state and nation by focusing on the hype stories and the bottom line they think will sell instead of truthful, accurate, and meaningful reporting...
State Agencies Aren’t Working:
The checks and balances in almost every aspect of state and federal government are simply not working today...
Imminent Domain:
For society to take an individuals property simply for private development is communism by a fancy name...

The Heart of My Campaign
Obviously the problems in our courts and harm being done to our children are at the heart of my campaign but there are a wide range of issues I am deeply concerned about. I have owned and operated small business all my adult life. My parents and I built and operated two convenience stores that included a car wash, self-serve laundry and gasoline sales for over 20 years. I invented the "Electronic Water Level" and turned an idea into the business Digital Leveling Systems, www.DLS7.com I have owned and operated the DLS for the past 14 years. I travel the nation attending trade shows and conferences and have developed my skills in both business and personal relations. I have business ties nationwide.
